The Antigua Casona San Blas is a colonial house built around 1750 – 1800 and located in a neighborhood of artisans with history and charm who knew how to maintain its colonial infrastructure in all its houses, we refer to San Blas. In 2016, private capital and the Peruvian Ministry of Culture began the restoration of the house, preserving its beautiful stone portal and rebuilding its finely decorated wooden balcony, colonial doors, cobbled courtyard, and others. The result is a beautiful colonial Cusquenian mansion with all its period decorations.
Its restaurant “Piedra y Sal” offers a varied breakfast every day for Casona Antigua’s guests. French toast with a light touch of orange, coffee, and dairy products. But it also offers special moonlit dinners with contemporary options of traditional Peruvian dishes such as Aji de Gallina al Batán. Not to mention its select menu with unique flavors and varied dishes accompanied by high-quality cocktails.
The spa is another hotel service not to be missed. Here, guests can enjoy holistic experiences such as steam baths, Jacuzzi breaks, salt scrubs from a local quarry, therapeutic massages, Spanish-style showers, and more. In addition, the spa has a specialized hyperbaric chamber for those guests who wish to benefit from the highest quality oxygen directly into their bodies to better acclimate to the altitude.
