Machu Travel Peru does not provide travel insurance, and approval of one of our trips in no way implies that you or your travel companions will be insured. We strongly recommend that you purchase a single-trip travel insurance policy within 15 days of payment of your deposit, and are happy to recommend trusted insurance providers. Trip cancellation insurance reimburses you for non-refundable air and land costs should you have to cancel your trip due to personal or family emergency. Emergency medical evacuation insurance and emergency medical expense coverage are also strongly recommended. In the case of Ecuador, as of September 4, 2017, Ecuadorian law requires all visitors to Ecuador to hold valid health insurance for the duration of their stay, reserving the right to deny entry to anyone entering without health insurance. For this reason, it is imperative to secure travel insurance before embarking on your Machu Travel Peru journey especially to Ecuador.
