Situated at 3250 meters above sea level and a two-and-a-half hour ride from Arequipa city, this hotel nestles on the banks of the Colca River. It is surrounded by hundreds of pre-Inca agricultural terraces, declared as Peruvian cultural heritage, and also blessed with relaxing hot spring waters. This place gives its guests an ancient energy, combined with nature, it’s the starting point to explore the valley and visit the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the World. At Colca Lodge, you will feel at home enjoying its hot springs “Eco-Spa” where they offer you a steam room, Jacuzzis, and massage sessions with local therapists. In addition, this place also offers you tranquility and harmony provided by its surrounding landscapes.
Among other services, the Colca Lodge’s hot springs are also a main source whose temperature is 80 degrees Celsius, where you may enjoy the medicinal powers of water. Also, there is a bar and a country-style restaurant where barbecued meats and trout are served. The hotel also offers medical nursing service; telephone and internet (at the front desk) and room service are also provided.
The hotel features 50 rooms that have a wonderful view towards the valley and were built around its gardens and courtyards which make up the hotel. Each room has a private bathroom with hot water from solar heaters, its bathrooms are small but complete, with a special touch just for you.
The rooms are rustic and comfortable with simple decoration, including straw roofs, terraces, and some with adobe walls. Colca Lodge offers 19 double rooms, 17 triple and quadruple rooms, 1 family suite; 1 double suite, and 1 panoramic suite. In addition, it also has 6 suites made of adobe (Junior Suite) which have a sober decoration in tune with the environment and relaxing terraces with splendid views. Given the remote location of the hotel and the lack of commercial, the hotel offers Wi-Fi and TV only in the social areas of the Lodge.
