A once in a lifetime trip

This was a trip that has been on hold from 2020 and it could only happen this year. I came across Machu Travel online. Without any hesitation I contacted them and a plan was set. They were all very gracious in their communication as we had to postpone due to covid. A 17 day tour travelling through a fairly large area of Peru. Two internal flights, 8 hotels and several guides across around 3000 kms. The company took all my request into consideration especially the hotels that were not on their list. As we were getting closer to the trip, Sol was in charge of all coordination. Such a beautiful soul and a friendly approach. I can only testify that their management is impeccable. Everything fell into place according to schedule. Drivers, guides, hotel receptions, tours, trains, buses, lunches, dinners…… Sol is a gem who follows up meticulously on all aspects of the trip. Always making sure that we were well and happy. As for the guides, they were all excellent but a special appreciation goes to Herman and Kevin. Herman accompanied us for several days from Arequipa to Puno with all the travelling in between and the condor watching. Kevin joined us in Cusco and was with us for several days visiting amazing Inca sites and in particular our trip to Machu Picchu. Both are super knowledgeable, patient, professional and friendly. The drivers were also super sweet. Guides on the touristic bus and Lake Titicaca were perfect too. A hug goes to Roxana for taking us around Lima and having lunch at the iconic Bar Cordano. This trip wouldn’t have been successful without the minute attention to detail and the management of Machu Travel.
