Fantastic 10-day Peru Visit with excellent service!

My wife and I engaged Machu Travel Peru for our guided visit to Peru to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The 10-day travel itinerary was very well-planned and targeted the major sights in Peru. Unexpectedly, our trip coincided with the onset of civil unrest that occurred in Dec 22. However, Sol and her co-workers took pains to make sure we were safe and avoided areas of potential danger. The highlight of our trip was in Machu Picchu, and we were one of the unfortunate tourists that were struck in Aguas Caliente when the train services were disrupted. After being stranded for 2 days, we decided to make our way to the nearest village 30 km away to find connections back to Cusco. The guide provided by Machu Travel Peru, Mr Noe, brought us to safety after a 12 -hour 30 km hike on the rain tracks. He then negotiated with the local and protestors to ensure our safe passage back to Cusco. Thereafter, Sol was in constant contact to help arrange for our flight back to Lima. It was no mean feat because the airport had been closed for the previous few days. All in all, this turned out to an eventful trip and way more that we bargained for. But Machu Travel Peru anticipated our needs and took very well care of us. I would strongly recommend Machu Travel Peru in a heartbeat!
