Nothing but the best to say about our experience working with Machu Travel Peru! Everything was streamlined and we were able to pick travel experiences from their options that aligned with the interests of our kids, aged 4 and 8. Before arriving in Peru and throughout our travels, they were in constant communication providing updates on next steps. There wasn’t a single moment where we were unsure of what came next, or who our next contact point would be as we traveled to each destination. As we transferred to each location, they made sure to have a Machu Travel representative present to make sure we made it to the next mode of transportation, and ensuring that in flights, we made it to the right security spot. They also at times, sent our boarding tickets in advance to our current location, leaving one less thing to worry about when traveling with kids. Any travel interchange documents, tickets for trains, buses or park entry passes were already available when we arrived. Two things stood out the most from our experience. The first was the guides, we cannot say enough of how well they did with making sure the tours were catered to our children, actively engaging with and encouraging them to converse in Spanish or ask any and all questions that came to mind. Throughout our time with each guide, they took their time and never made it feel rushed. The second thing that stood out was when one of our kids was not feeling well from altitude sickness, our guide at the time reached out in the evening to check how things were going and called to walk us through finding a doctor and special call outs to watch out for to avoid unnecessary expenses. From all of this we highly recommend Machu Travel Peru and will definitely be working with them again for future travels to Peru and other South American countries where they are connected.
