Luggage Tips & Climate Advice

Packing for Bolivia

Bolivia is a beautiful Andean plateau country with awesome Andean and Amazon landscapes, besides its native Andean race that did not undergo variation or miscegenation of foreign races and form 50% of its population. Consequently, this country opened up to the world and to tourism in a complete way not long ago, so it is necessary to pay attention to some entry requirements as well as important clothing and accessories to pack to face the cold and dry climate of the Andean highlands and the Bolivian Amazon.

Electricity and Power Supplies

Bolivia uses 220-volt currents, alternating at a frequency of 60 cycles per second. Of course, always pay attention to the volts accepted by your electronic devices before plugging them in. If don’t buy a voltage converter, your 110-volt device always will die in a 220-volt electric outlet. Therefore, check your devices to see which voltages they work with. Happily, lots of mobiles, tablets, laptops, and e-readers have a double voltage option, so you won’t need to use a converter in that case.
