The Inkaterra Reserva Amazonia is situated at the heart of an ecological reserve, in the Southern Peruvian rainforest. The retreat occupies a former rubber and cocoa plantation called Concepción, which once housed a medical post in the 1950s. Inkaterra has meticulously restored the vast 380-hectare area, using locally sourced materials to construct their facilities and minimize environmental impact. The lush forest encompassing the hacienda acts as a protective barrier between Tambopata National Park and the Madre de Dios River. Consequently, the Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción area remains unspoiled, secluded, and yet within easy reach. A picturesque motorized canoe ride is the only way to reach the lodge.
