Machu Travel Peru created the perfect itinerary that allowed my well traveled family to have a memorable experience. Their service was exceptional and what was promised was exactly what was delivered.

The travel agent who planned the trip was professional, responsive and informative. The head office was in daily communication with your group to ensure that our travel was going smoothly and they were flexible with some changes to the itinerary that we requested. The transportation was very comfortable and their selection of hotels provided us different experiences that were both unique and luxurious. We enjoyed rooftop bars overlooking Arequipa square, thermal springs, Llamas in the courtyard and a converted monastery. All of the hotels added to the experience of exploring Peru.

Our travel took us through Lima, Arequipa, Puno, Cusco and Machu Picchu. The selection of sites visited was well curated and we learned so much about the history of Peru and enjoyed the scenic views, Peruvian food and overall beauty of the country. We had one guide who was not very prepared but that was in contrast to the others who were highly knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Overall, Machu Travel Peru provided an outstanding service. I would recommend them unequivocally for an unforgettable journey through Peru.

If I could give Machu Travel Peru 10 stars, I would. I spent a significant amount of time researching local tour operators and received a wide variety of quotes for seemingly similar experiences. I ultimately chose Machu Travel Peru which was an excellent decision.

The Planning: Maribel was incredible prior to our arrival. She patiently curated and fine-tuned our itinerary until it perfectly matched what we wanted.

The Execution: Once we landed, Eduardo took the reins. I honestly do not know how he manages so many clients while keeping everyone so happy in real-time. He was always steps ahead, constantly checking in, and gave us phenomenal restaurant recommendations that elevated our culinary experience.

Our private tour guides were exceptional. Beyond their profound knowledge of Peruvian history and culture, they were incredibly attentive to our daily needs—patiently managing altitude sickness, factoring in bathroom breaks, sourcing great snacks, and answering our endless stream of questions.

Susie (Lima) gave us a fantastic introduction to the coast.
Andrea (Arequipa/Colca Canyon) was wonderful navigating the deep canyons, beautiful terrain, and exposing us to llamas, alpacas, vicuñas.
Kevin (Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain) was a superstar. He hiked multiple intense mountains with us, flawlessly preparing us every single day for the physical challenges.

What truly sets Machu Travel Peru apart is how they handle the unexpected. Travel in a foreign country always comes with variables like strikes or protests. When unexpected changes arose, this team was a rock. They kept our itinerary completely on track without us feeling the stress.

The ultimate testament to their capabilities happened when a family member unexpectedly couldn't join the Machu Picchu portion, and another family member stepped in. Securing a last-minute ticket to Machu Picchu is notoriously difficult (nearly impossible), but the team pulled it off seamlessly. They truly make the impossible possible.

I’ve traveled many countries and I wish there was a "Machu Travel Peru" in every country. They provided the trip of a lifetime, and I would use them again and again without hesitation. If you are planning a trip to Peru, look no further!
